The Medical Center is a not-for-profit, 250-bed tertiary medical facility.
They are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Director position in the School of Nursing at the medical center.
This is an exciting opportunity in a busy team environment as the individual is responsible for coordinating Curriculum and Evaluation Plans through the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing courses within the school program.
The Assistant Director participates with the faculty in the total program evaluation in meeting the goals of the school.
The school of nursing has been training nurses since 1889. The faculty know the work of the nurse matters, and are compassionate educators.
The Assistant Director, in the school of nursing, guides and directs course facilitators and instructors in course design, implementation, scheduling and evaluation to achieve the student learning outcomes of each course, level and the program of study.
Candidate utilizes current adult educational principles and student-centered learning strategies. The Assistant Director is an active faculty member.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and demonstrates management skills, curriculum development, implementation and evaluation in the area of responsibility.
Candidate must demonstrate leadership ability and have knowledge of basic principles, theory, techniques of nursing and the skills necessary to insure quality nursing education.
The successful candidate will assume direct responsibility for educating students in the classroom and clinical settings and faculty teaching assignments for course facilitators and instructors.
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with operational, personnel and capital budget planning, implementation and controls.
Current NYS nursing licensure.
Master’s Degree in nursing required, Doctorate in nursing preferred.
The candidate will need to possess exceptional interpersonal skills, critical thinking and time management skills.
Compensation is based on experience and the range is between $60K-$85K and the facility offers full benefits and a relocation package as well
