This position has the opportunity to build their team. The team consists of 8 Sales Reps.
Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of professional sales consultants who are effective at building the brand within the building materials industry. The responsibilities include achieving group sales goals through coaching and developing team member skills in relational selling techniques throughout all active product offerings. Model market expertise and business partner relationships with customers. Grow market share through continually reinforcing proactive development of new customer relationships. Coach and develop value selling and accuracy skills to deliver contribution margin goals and error control needed to ensure profitability. Develop team commitment to continually strive for 100% “Very Satisfied” customers.
The primary duty is developing an effective sales team. The position is required to spend over 50% each workweek in the field with sales consultants observing and coaching effective sales skills. The travel is primarily day trips.
3+ years experience in business development
3+ years experience selling building products
3+ years experience calling on organizations in the building industry (associations, builders, developers, architects, wholesale, corporate retailers)
3+ years experience in leading a sales team - including hiring, coaching, on-boarding, budgeting, etc.
3+ years of documented success in the above
