If you are interested in this Northeast Territory Account Manager - Chemicals Sales position - you should have an understanding of chemistry/chemicals, a Bachelors degree and experience of 3-10 years of chemical sales or sales to industries like metal working, pvc, plastics, coatings, lubricants, refining, flame retardants, etc.

This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for selling a variety of chemicals to be used by industrial companies - like metalworking, pvc, plastics, coatings, lubricants, etc..  The significant challenges of the position are to grow business and market share with existing customers, obtain new customers, and pursue the development of additional domestic channels.  Will service existing accounts within his/her assigned region including, but are not limited to:  obtaining orders, establishing new accounts, resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management for increasing sales. 

As this Territory Account Manager you will manage sales of specialty chemicals to customers and prospective customers in an assigned multi-state territory and will be expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of products, services and markets in order to match the Company’s offerings to both existing and prospective customer needs.  You will also be expected to build and maintain long-term, lasting business relationships through effective communication, technical consultation, and knowledge of products, applications and industry trends.  Must effectively communicate internally (i.e. customer call reports) as well as including developing and continually updating forecasts, market trends and competitive activity in a timely fashion. Prefer someone who is living in the Philly to New Jersey area - will be responsible for PA to Maine and eastern Canada.
