The Lead, Human Factors Engineering will be serve as a local leader for the Human Factors Engineering Team as it grows. This role will lead human factors work to support the development of devices and combination products for delivery of our wide portfolio of drugs and biologics. This includes leadership in human factors planning, use-related risk management, requirements development and execution of human factors research (user research, formative and summative studies).1. Responsible for leading all activities needed to support human factors deliverables for major device or combination product development projects [25%]2. Lead planning and conduct of human factors research, leveraging external human factors consultants (i.e., user research, formative and summative human factors evaluations). [25%]3. Actively participate on device and combination product development teams to ensure human factors engineering and user research inputs are considered and implemented at appropriate points in the development process [15%]4. Provide mentorship and technical supervision to less experienced human factors engineers [10%]5. Create and communicate project plans, tasks and deliverables. This includes reporting information at key milestones through clear written and verbal communications [10%]6. Lead efforts to develop processes and procedures that align to company initiatives and relevant human factors engineering standards [10%]7. Presents and advises on human factors topics across the organization and outside the organization [5%]PhD w/8 yrs or MS w/10 or BS w/10 years in human factor engineering
